ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Established in 1939, the Italian Statistical Society (SIS) promotes every two years an International Scientific meeting, which represents the most important event of the Society.

SIS 2024 is the 52^nd edition of the Scientific Meeting of the Italian Statistical Society. The event will be held at the University of Bari Aldo Moro in Bari in the period June 17-20, 2024. The meeting includes plenary, specialized, solicited and contributed sessions, encompassing both methodological and applied statistical research.

The main conference venue will be at Palazzo ex Poste, Piazza Cesare Battisti, 1. It is located in the center of the city of Bari, very close to the railway station and to transport and hotels facilities. Palazzo ex Poste is a monumental structure that once housed the post office and now serves as the multipurpose student center of Università degli Studi di Bari Aldo Moro.

The city of Bari stands ashore with its white limestone castle and the Basilica of Saint Nicholas. The territory of Bari is enriched by UNESCO world heritage Trulli in Alberobello and several medieval cities overlooking the beautiful southern Adriatic coast.
